How to navigate and use the MerciApp extension with just your keyboard

Keyboard shortcuts let you control the extension without ever leaving your text — whether you're in Expand (your snippet list) or Transform (the side panel).

Here's how to move fast:

1. Open the right surface: type %% in Expand to pull up the snippets window, or hit Option (or Alt) + M to open the Transform side panel.
2. As soon as Transform opens, the search field is ready to go — just start typing what you want to reformulate, or the name of an assistant.
3. Browse the list with the Up and Down arrow keys (↑ / ↓).
4. Hit Enter to use what's selected: it'll insert the snippet in Expand, or trigger the assistant in Transform.
5. Press Esc to close the window or panel.

Handy shortcuts show up in a bar at the bottom of each panel or window — only the ones relevant to what you're doing will appear.

Good to know: Option (or Alt) + M only opens the Transform panel. To close it, just press Esc.

These shortcuts work in the MerciApp extension on Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
