# Using the Preview Tab for a Snippet

**How does the Preview tab work?**

When you create or edit a snippet in Expand, the right-hand column of a snippet group gives you 3 tabs: Edit, Preview, and Activity.
The Preview tab shows you exactly how your snippet will look when it's actually used — fillable fields, optional sections, dropdowns, and all — no need to save it or test it live first.

**Step by step:**

1. Open the snippet creation or editing form.
2. Fill in your snippet's content in the Edit tab.
3. Click the Preview tab to see your snippet's final look.
