How to Track Your Snippets' Activity and Usage

With MerciApp, keeping an eye on a shared snippet group is quick and easy. You can see at a glance which snippets get used the most and how they're trending.
These new features are live in the WebApp.

Track your snippets' usage

Open a snippet group. Each snippet shows a usage badge with its total number of insertions (1 insertion = 1 use).
Click the Sort button and pick a criterion: Last edited, Date created, Number of uses, or Number of uses (30 days) — each available in ascending or descending order.
The Sort button always shows your active sort, like Edited ↓.

Check a snippet's history and activity

Open a snippet, then head to the Activity tab, right next to the Edit and Preview tabs.
Scroll through the activity feed: every change is dated and credited to its author, with the most recent one up top.

Important: anyone a group is shared with can view that group's snippet activity.

We've been tracking snippet activity since September 3, 2026. If you were already using Expand before that date, don't be surprised if the usage numbers look a bit low — they're just getting started.
