How do I change the shortcut to open Transform?

Keyboard shortcuts allow you to quickly interact with Transform and optimize your experience without having to use your mouse. Here are the main commands available and how to customize them according to your preferences.


📢 Default shortcuts


1. Alt + M to trigger Transform


This shortcut allows you to open Transform in an instant, wherever you are in your browser. Select some text and use Alt + M to send it directly to Transform.


2. Enter to insert or copy a response


Once Transform has generated a response, press Enter to:


  • Insert the text directly into your edit field.
  • Or copy the response to your clipboard if no active text field is detected.


🎛️ Customizing shortcuts


If you want to change the default shortcut ( Alt + M) to open Transform, you can do so depending on your browser.


1. Google Chrome


  1. Click on the MerciApp extension icon to open the settings.
  2. Click on the default shortcut ( Alt + M).

  1. You will be redirected to the Google Chrome shortcuts page.
  2. Click on the "Edit" icon, enter the shortcut of your choice, or delete it to disable it.


2. Mozilla Firefox


  1. Click on the puzzle icon for extensions in the top right corner.
  2. Select the settings icon to the right of the MerciApp extension and click Manage Extension.
  3. You will be redirected to the MerciApp extension management page.
  4. Select the settings icon and click Manage Extension Shortcuts.

  1. Set the shortcut that suits you or disable it if necessary.


3. Microsoft Edge


  1. Go to the extension shortcut management page by entering this line in your URL bar: edge://extensions/shortcuts
  2. Find the MerciApp section.
  3. Set your preferred shortcut or disable it completely.
