How to use multilingual rephrasing in the MerciApp browser extension?

Rephrasing involves expressing an idea or text in a different way while retaining its fundamental meaning. Why is this approach so valuable in a professional context? By rephrasing, you improve the clarity and conciseness of your writing, thereby captivating your audience more effectively. It also allows you to avoid plagiarism, enrich your vocabulary, and convey your ideas from different angles.

How to activate rephrasing?

• In an editable area compatible with MerciApp, select the portion of text you want to rephrase.

A blue widget will then appear next to your selection.

You may see a message indicating that your selection is too short or too long; if so, adjust it accordingly.

• Click on the widget and choose the style in which you want to rephrase your selection using the pre-recorded tones or the customization field.

• A rephrasing suggestion will appear. You can either decide to use it by clicking on "Replace" in the top right corner, or ask our assistant to provide alternatives.

Where does rephrasing work?

This feature is available wherever MerciApp works, with the exception of the Google suite (Google Docs or Google Slides) at this time. If you have trouble activating it on a specific site, feel free to contact us via the chat box at the bottom right.

Is it available in multiple languages?

Yes, our assistant automatically detects the language used in your selected writing. Rewriting is available in English, Spanish, German, and Portuguese.
