How to see exactly what the AI changed in your text?

This feature is available from version 3.101 of the MerciApp browser extension.

You can check your version number by following this guide.

With Transform, whenever an AI rewriting assistant transforms your text, MerciApp shows you exactly what changed — word by word. Additions appear highlighted in green, and deletions are shown with strikethrough.

Show changes on the fly

After each generation from a rewriting assistant, a "Show changes" button appears at the bottom right of the response area.

1. Click "Show changes."
2. Additions appear highlighted in green, and deletions are shown with strikethrough.
3. Click "Hide changes" to go back to the final result, without any annotations.

This button is available on all rewriting assistants, at any time.

Enable changes display by default on a custom assistant

By default, MerciApp's built-in assistants don't automatically highlight changes — but you can turn this on whenever you need it.

To have an assistant automatically highlight changes with every generation:

1. Create a new assistant or duplicate an existing one.
2. In the creation form, under the "Highlighting…" section, enable the "Show" option.
3. Save your assistant.

From that point on, changes will automatically show up with every generation for that assistant.

Good to know: If more than 85% of your text was modified, the changes won't be displayed.
