How to customize writing rules?

Thanks to language preferences, MerciApp allows you to configure the correction engine rules according to your preferences. They apply only to your profile and are not available in the free version.

Language preferences are currently only applicable to corrections in French. Language preferences are limited to French and do not impact alerts in other languages, as they are unique to the specific French linguistic rules. This is why this page is not translated.

To access language preferences:

Log in to your account.
Click on Language preferences on the left side of your home page.
Finally, by clicking on the small green (or red) square that counts your mistakes in a text box, you will also find a button at the bottom of the alert panel to go to the language preferences page.

You can configure the different writing rules by clicking on the following five categories:

style only available on the MerciApp Assist version!
spelling
grammar
syntax
typography
