Click on File and select Options

A window will open with a list of sections on the left.

In the side menu, select "Mail" and then click on "Proofing."

Disable the "Correct as I type" option.

We've improved the Transform interface to offer you an even more intuitive rephrasing experience. Previously, Transform was displayed in a fixed window in the center of your screen. Now, Transform appears as a side panel anchored to the right of your work window.

This change allows you to easily compare your original text with Transform's rephrasing suggestions without having to close the panel each time you want to consult it. A real time-saver when finalizing your writing!

Call up Transform using the icon or the usual keyboard shortcut

The MerciApp add-in for Outlook relies on features made available to developers by Microsoft, the publisher of the target software. Unfortunately, Microsoft is aware of certain anomalies and is still working to correct them, making some features unavailable through our add-in or causing different behaviors in some cases.

My email is not analyzed automatically on macOS

Retrieving the content of your email requires a proprietary solution provided by Microsoft that we do not control. Unfortunately, this solution causes a slowdown each time it is used; since automatic analysis requires us to retrieve content at regular and frequent intervals, the writing experience was significantly compromised.

We therefore decided to offer manual analysis instead. Once you have written your email, or whenever you have doubts about a sentence or paragraph, click on the Analyze button at the top of the MerciApp add-in pane. Alerts will appear below within a few moments, as on other platforms.

Applying a suggestion breaks the formatting of my email on macOS

Modifying the content of your email requires a proprietary solution provided by Microsoft that we do not control. To date, this feature has not yet been finalized and cannot handle certain formatting elements.

Among the elements identified are:

numbered or unnumbered lists,
images embedded in the body of your email that have been edited in Outlook (e.g., cropping).

How do we bill active and inactive members of your team?

At MerciApp, you only pay for what you use.

You will only be billed for members who are active. A member is an active user if they have accepted the invitation to your workspace.

If you have a paid MerciApp subscription (Correct or Assist) and add new members in the middle of the billing cycle, billing will be adjusted automatically.

Put it into practice

Annual subscription

Let's say that three members of your workspace have MerciApp Correct and you purchased an annual subscription on January 10. This costs €8 excl. tax per member per month, or €8 excl. tax x 3 users x 12 months. You therefore paid €288 excl. tax on January 10.

On Monday, March 15, you add 4 new members to this workspace by sending them an invitation. Each member who accepts this invitation becomes an active member and is therefore added to the billing on a pro-rata basis for the month they joined the workspace.

Your contract anniversary date is January 10 each year. This date remains unchanged. On the evening of March 15, an invoice will be automatically generated for the 4 new members for their use from March 15 to January 10, i.e., 10 months.

The new invoice will then be €8 excl. tax x 4 users x 10 months = €320 excl. tax.

On the following January 10, you will be renewed for 7 users.
